Coachella Announces 2010 Lineup

Its not all confirmed but it looks pretty good to me! Jay-Z, Muse and Gorillaz are quite solid headliners...

Jay-Z Confirms Leaving His Label, Island/Def Jam

Jay-Z is leaving the very place which launched his career, Def Jam Records. After securing a deal with Live Nation for a pretty penny (or more like a pretty set of millions) he's confirmed that he will not be recording another album for the label.

The deal with Live Nation is for touring, publishing and recording...something these days a label just can't do.

Next up, hopefully a new album...

Jay Z "Throws It Back" To Oasis

After words were thrown between Oasis and Jay Z, it seemed that Jay had won the battle...and Jay Z felt the need to rub it in Noel's face a little more.

Jay Z joined Kayne West on stage the other night at his gig at Madison Square Garden and the performance is brilliant. Jay even throws in the word "bloke" in his rhyme...how crafty.

Jay-Z Covers Wonderwall at Glastonbury

I guess there are no hard feelings with Jay-Z and Noel Gallagher anymore considering he covered "Wonderwall" at Glastonbury.

Jay Z clearly can't sing...but it was a good try. He also clearly didn't know the words...at least the crowd got to hear Liam's vocals throughout or it would have been a bit painful.

The acts are already rolling in for 2008's Glastonbury Festival with the first one just a announced...Jay-Z.

When speaking to BBC Somerset, founder Michael Eavis stated, "He (Jay-Z) will appeal to the young people and under-25s for sure, so that's a big pull for them. It's not like the traditional one we do, like Radiohead, Coldplay and Muse and Oasis."

The clue as to who the artist was going to be "a big black artist from New York". Some morons speculated it was Kanye but the last time I checked, he is from CHICAGO!

Speaking of Kanye...anyone catch him joining Kid Sister last Friday at the Museum of Natural History?

Amy Winehouse Gets Remixed

Amy Winehouse feels like the new queen of getting her songs remixed. From Hot Chip to Ghostface Killah and now Mr. Jay Z himself...there is a never ending supply of Winehouse remixes floating around.

This time, Jay Z does a remix of "Rehab" and I'm sure it will be damn good. I guess his love blossomed for Amy's music when he saw the Joe's Pub gig a while back.

Also, The Rumble Strips do a great remix of Back To Black. Of course, I wouldn't leave you hanging so here it is
