Amy Winehouse Track "Like Smoke" Leaks Ft. Nas

After the tragic death of Amy Winehouse in July, the world mourned the lost of such an incredible talent. Of course, what introduced Amy to the world was her jaw dropping music which we will always want more of.

Now, several months later, the posthumous album "Lioness: Hidden Treasures" has been revealed and a leaked track with Nas titled "Like Smoke" has been getting rave reviews. Clearly done after Amy's passing (evident from the line "why did G-d take away the homey I can't stand it), the track features Amy's incredible soul driven vocals and a fine performance from Nas who makes the song that much better.

"Lioness: Hidden Treasures" will be released on 12/5 through Island Records.

Remembering Amy Winehouse: 1983-2011

Amy Winehouse was known for her drinking binges, drug escapades and everything else self destructive under the sun; but the music is what really made the world focus on her. Taking the UK by storm in 2003 with her debut album Frank, Winehouse moved the needle with tracks like Fuck Me Pumps and Stronger Than Me. Coming out with a sound that was missing from music for a long time; combining 60's girl group throwbacks and Motown with her own unique twist, Amy Winehouse truly was an extraordinary talent.

In 2006, coming out with her masterpiece Back To Black was really the defining moment in her career. That voice. Those songs. That attitude. Winehouse breathed new life into an industry filled with manufactured pop stars with her sound and the personality that went along with it. Attracting an audience of everyone from indie kids to hip hop heads, her music and talent translated to the masses worldwide. Paving the way for artists such as the now multi platinum Adele and Duffy, Winehouse is and will always will be the woman that broke down doors for a lot of the female singers we know and love today.

Sadly, the world only got to experience 2 incredible albums and 27 years of life with Winehouse but her legacy will go on forever. R.I.P. Amy.

Amy Winehouse Returns!

Oh Amy, how we've missed you! Ms. Winehouse is back with a new song, a cover of the 1963 Lesley Gore classic It's My Party and its good to have her back. Teaming up with Mark Ronson to produce the song for the Q: Soul Bossa Nostra release, it sounds like a typical Winehouse song with her nasal vocals paired up with that soulful voice. Is it good...well, its Amy so its got to be.

Listen to it here:

Amy Winehouse...The Musical?!!!

It seems to be the new thing...after a movie and everything else under the sun about your life you do a musical...

The latest is that Amy Winehouse: The Musical could be a possibility and will show her rise and fall to stardom complete with booze, drugs, of course BLAKE and even childhood memories.

According to The Sun, her brother Alex stated, "Amy is much better. I think one day there could be a musical of Amy's life...You just don't ever know how far things can go these days - look at all this talk of a JADE GOODY musical."

This would be absolutely bizarre...let's see if it ever sees the light of day.

Amy Winehouse Cancels London Comeback Show

Well, surprise surprise...Amy Winehouse cancels yet another gig?! Who would have thought...

Amy was supposed to perform at Shepard's Bush Empire on May 31st as a part of Island Record's 50th birthday celebration.

This cancellation comes after a horrendous performance earlier in the month in St. Lucia, where she only performed for an hour and forgot the words to most of her songs. Oh, and did I mention she seemed wasted on stage?!

"Amy would like to apologise to her fans who bought tickets for the show," says a statement released from her record label.

Poor Amy...

If you missed the St. Lucia performance you can watch it here:

Amy Winehouse To Write A Poetry Book

St. Lucia seems to have put Amy in a happy place, that's why she is currently penning a book of poetry while she is in the process of writing her third album.

"Amy's been stimulated since living in St Lucia." according to a source to the Daily Star. "She loves the chilled-out Caribbean atmosphere and has found it has encouraged her to write again."

Who was the influence behind the poetry book? Why, Mr. Pete Doherty of course.

Amy Winehouse Throws A Punch At Glastonbury

Amy Winehouse was apparently a typical mess at Glastonbury with the slurring lyrics, talking about Blake and well...just being typical Amy Winehouse lately.

Before apparently being escorted back to the hospital immediately after her performance, she still found the energy to punch a fan who attempted to touch her trademark beehive.

Hey, if someone was pulling my hair I probably wouldn't hold back either.

Does Being Late Count?

Wino was an hour late to her performance at the Rock In Rio festival and just sounded a mess in front of 90,000 people. Her voice was cracking, she looked clueless...pretty bad.

The good thing is she's wearing a killer Matthew Williamson dress on stage. At least she can fuck up with style!

Amy Winehouse Gets Ultimatum #2432532

The best part about Amy Winehouse is that through all her issues she still manages to actually WANT people to come and see her live. Then again, do they want to see her perform her songs or just royally fuck up.

Maybe this will help; record label execs from Universal Music have given Amy an ultimatum. Whats it this time? Show up to all your booked summer gigs or no American tour for Amy.

This ultimatum comes with a relaxation therapist and a masseuse. Not such a bad ultimatum, huh?

Amy Winehouse and Dionne D. Cover Alicia Keys

Amy Winehouse has taking a liking to YouTube lately with her new best friend Pete Doherty. Accompanying her goddaughter Dionne D. on guitar and backing vocals, they perform a completely stripped down cover of Alicia Keyes' If I Ain't Got You filmed by Pete (or Peter as Amy calls him) and uploaded for our viewing pleasure.

Might I say that Dionne D. has a pretty killer voice for a 12 year old.

How Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty Entertain Each Other Part 1

Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty have been seeing a lot of each other lately and seem to really entertain each other. They also find it fun to make videos of themselves playing with mice that are newborns.

They should make a real music video about mice and cats. Maybe it won't be as baffling as these...

Amy Winehouse In The Running For 3 Ivor Novello Awards

AmyAmy Winehouse may have been caught smoking pot in public, having a rocky relationship with her current husband and loads of ther bad situations with her personal life; but that doesn't deny the fact that her music is absolutely brilliant.

Amy has not one but TWO chances to win the "Best Song of The Year" award for "Love Is A Losing Game" and "You Know You're No Good".

The Awards take place in London on May 22.

Amy Winehouse Gets An Ultimatum

Can life get any harder for Amy Winehouse? She's got a husband in jail, has been back and forth to rehab and now she's got a nice little ultimatum from her record label, Universal.

According to a source close to the label, “Amy has been reminded of her responsibilities. Unless she is clean she will not be allowed to release another album."

Album plans to record in the Bahamas have been scrapped so now its looking like a 2009 release from Wino. Too damn long...at least we have the Bond theme.

Amy Wnehouse Records The Bond Theme with Mark Ronson

Amy Winehouse is getting her life back together...finally! She's in the process of recording her third album and YES she's scored the Bond theme!

Once again, she's teamed up with Mark Ronson, who went to her flat in London and picked up all the necessary gear to record the track at his country retreat in Henley. They have nothing planned but apparently the film is quite dark; and well, so is Amy.

Amy Winehouse's Third Album To Be Even Blacker

Amy Winehouse hasn't had it easy these past few months. Her husband's in jail, she's been back and forth to rehab and basically looks like a hot mess.

Then again, pain makes for a great record and thats just what Winehouse is doing...making a third record with Mark Ronson.

Sources say, “It is very, very dark but she produces some of her best music when she’s in pain — and the past few months have been hell for her."

This record is going to be genius...if she was in pain for "Back To Black" then the best has yet to come.

Winehouse Gets Let Off The Hook

Amy Winehouse has finally had good luck come her way lately. After winning 5 Grammys (not luck...just a brilliant album to be quite honest), she also is not going to be facing charges for being connected wth her husband's alleged attempt to pervert the course of justice.

In a statement issued by Winehouse's camp on Friday, February 29, Amy is "pleased to be discounted from the investigation and thanks the police for their professionalism in their dealings with her."

Hopefully things will continue to go uphill for Wino...

Natalie Cole Thinks Amy Winehouse Doesn't Deserve Her Grammys?!

According to Natalie Cole, Amy Winehouse doesn't deserve her 5 Grammys. Why? According to a quote she gave to US Magazine, Cole says, "I don't think she should have won. I think it sends a bad message to our young people who are trying to get into this business - the ones who are trying to do it right and are really trying to keep themselves together."

Last time I checked a brilliant record is a brilliant record; additions or not. Maybe Natalie Cole should never even be allowed to attend the Grammys...she had a problem as well. In fact, anyone thats addicted to drugs, alcohol, or ANYTHING shouldn't win. Wow, that would be a fuckload of Grammy Awards that would be given back to the Academy...

Viva La Amy!

Amy Winehouse's Grammy Performance - The Recap

Yes yes yes we ALL know Amy Winehouse sang at the Grammys via satellite and she was well...pretty damn good for someone who is currently in rehab.

I think she misses Blake though...could you tell?

Exhibit A: Instead of "I cried for you on the kitchen floor" we get "I cry for you 7614. My Blake!"

Chances are its his inmate number, the number of his prison or maybe part of his phone number? Who knows

Exhibit B: "I'd rather be at home with my Blake"

Does this need an explanation?

Exhibit C: "I'll never, never lose my baby"

Obviously, she misses her husband. Can't they just let Blake out of prison?

After singing though, she looks terrified to speak. I give her credit though I must say...

If you missed it, here is the performance:

Amy Winehouse Wins 5 Out of 6

Amy Winehouse just won the Grammy for Best New Artist.

Cyndi Lauper got really excited...Miley Cyrus screwed up her lines while presenting the award.

Congrats to Amy...she's brilliant and no one else deserved that award more than her.

Amy also won best pop vocal album for "Back to Black" and best female pop vocal.

Just a thought though...why was there no nomination for Lily Allen in the Best New Artist category?!

UPDATE: Amy just won for Song of the Year for "Rehab"...4 out of 6

UPDATE #2: Amy just won for Record of the Year for "Rehab"...5 out of 6

Maybe the music industry is smarter than we think??!!

Sunday Video Rewind: Amy Winehouse - Fuck Me Pumps

Amy Winehouse hasn't yet played the Grammys via satellite...but I figured that we have to give her some props for even getting over her problems lately and pulling out a performance of some sort.

"Frank" really was a fantastic album...and Amy really did eat at one point in her life; case in point is this video.
