When Albert Hammond Jr first came out with Yours To Keep I was a bit hesistant to even give it a chance. Now its an album that is constantly on rotation no matter what day it is.
Seeing Albert for the second time at Webster Hall since the Blender party at SXSW, the show was just as good if not better than last time around. Albert played tracks from the debut album, two covers (of course Postal Blowfish by Guided By Voices and a Cars cover) and several new songs which you couldn't really understand what the hell they were called.
The band together sounded super tight and Albert really has emeged as a frontman. Maybe for the 4th Strokes record Julian can step aside?!
