On December 29th I searched and searched for a theater playing Factory Girl. Much to my surprise it was playing nowhere in NYC. The only place it was playing is Los Angeles and its playing in one theater. Why? The fucking Oscars. It wants a fucking Oscar nomination besides the fact that Lou Reed fucking hates it, Bob Dylan has threatened a lawsuit and they literally just stopped the filming on the movie around a month ago.
This film isn't going to get an Oscar...and how can you not release the film in the very place where this whole story took place?!
As you can see, I'm bitter. For the full article on why they didn't release Factory Girl anywhere but one theater Los Angeles and we all have to wait till the end of January you can read it
